Community Engagement

We work hard to leave a lasting, positive legacy for the local community

Growth, excellence & community

It’s not just about our people. Astins aims to make a difference through its work in driving community benefit, encouraging young people and employment legacy initiatives across the country. This includes;

Construction Ambassadors

We have a number of Construction Ambassadors within the company who promote construction and drylining to schools, colleges, apprentices and universities. We offer to carry out practice interviews or talk through career support requests.

Astins Careers Events

We attend a variety of recruitment events at colleges, universities, apprentices, councils and client careers fairs, forums and talks.

Charity & Not for Profit

We take part in a number of charity and not for profit support activities, providing cv support and talking with individuals who are long-term unemployed, from the armed forces and ex-offenders with a view to getting back into the workplace.

Community Engagement

We work with our main contractors to make sure a proportion of our construction workforce is sourced from the local community.  We’ll then give the local workforce training and skills development support on-site.
